Making an Annual Gift connects us to our history and those right beside us

We are grateful for your financial support of the Western Illinois Museum. Making an annual gift helps us connect our community to our history and those right beside us. Here are some of the ways we do this with your financial support:

  • Share our artifacts with school children in their classrooms and offer workshops to area educators on using Primary Sources in their classrooms;

  • Offer over 75 creative and FUN programs a year that bring people together to engage in lifelong learning;

  • Actively preserve our history and culture for future generations and share the collection in compelling exhibits;

  • Restore and repurpose a significant historical building creating a destination for visitors in our downtown;

  • Offer internships to college students, summer jobs to high school students, and volunteer opportunities that connect people through service.

You can choose a level and frequency that is right for you. Here are a few ideas for an annual gift:

  • $25 a year
  • $50 a year
  • $100 a year

OR set up a monthly gift, such as:

  • $5 a month = $60 annually
  • $10 a month = $120 annually
  • $20 a month = $240 annually
  • $25 a month = $300 annually
  • $50 a month = $600 annually
  • $100 a month = $1,200 annually

Setting up a sustaining gift will automatically charge your credit card and be changed at any time. It's easy, and saves paper and postage! That's a win-win!

Prefer to send a check... that works, too. Just send your contribution to:

The following are a few ways you can direct us to use your contribution. Otherwise, we'll use your fund where the need is greatest.

Leon Clements Internship Fund
The Leon Clements Internship Fund provides financial support to young professionals who have chosen to dedicate their time and talents to the Western Illinois Museum. This award is given to interns who have had an impact through their work with the museum and provides financial encouragement to those beginning their careers in the museum profession.

Rezab Family Preservation Fund
Gordana and Don Rezab were valuable partners in the museum’s exploration and study of artifacts. They helped us create a place where our history can be presented to the community. We have established a fund in their name to aid the museum in managing and building its collection. Three areas are key to the fund’s goal: conservation, facility, and restoration.
